Via Portamedina, 5, 80134 Napoli, Napoli NA, Italia
Imagine Pignasecca, a popular area at the core of Naples where there is the fish market since always… and then imagine you inexplicably want a fried cuoppo.
You are in the right place!
(When it’s about food, in Naples you can never go wrong!)
Here there is Gagliotta family, who runs a fish shop since ages, but it’s not just about selling fresh fish. here we are talking about serious stuff, street food, pasta, main dishes, and their fish can make other restaurants envious!
A fried sea food cuoppo with salmon, sward fish, anchovies, crabs, fish sticks, fish arancini, zeppoline, salted cod, shelled prawns, full prawns, squids, everything while strolling around the shopping street. If you are tired because you walked too much, seat on the super high chair and let them serve you their pasta dish of the day (in their biggest tray): linguine with lobster, spaghetti with clams and crumbled tarallo, Poseidone’s pacchero with prawns, squids and shell fish and cherry tomatoes, or passero linguine with langoustine, clams and cherry tomatoes.
Or a main dish that you can choose in between raw fish, marinated fish, fish of the day, fish salad and fish kebab, rigorously in disposable plates and cold wine.
Follow the scent and the noise outside the “Pescheria Azzurra” and join the mess!
Who does like forms anymore? We need some kind of substance at times!
